Basingstoke, 01 March 2021 – Tech Data, has formed a partnership with Armor, a global cloud security and compliance company, adding further strength to its growing security practice portfolio and presenting partners with the opportunity to offer all-round protection for customers across multiple public cloud platforms.

Tech Data’s partner community and customers will now have access to Armor’s industry-leading SaaS solutions, all of which are available on a consumption-basis. Armor is ideal for organisations looking to adopt multi-cloud strategies and thus aligns perfectly with Tech Data’s focus on security and cloud enablement – and its ability to support partners in both areas and other adjacent technologies, such as on-premises infrastructure and IoT.

Alison Nixon, business unit director – security, Tech Data, UK, said, “Our partnership with Armor means the Tech Data security practice is even better-equipped to support our entire partner ecosystem, including VARs, cloud aggregators, and MSPs in providing completely secure multi-cloud environments for their customers. We can offer all the skills, resources and solutions partners require to give their customers peace-of-mind and we are ready to work with Armor, to support them in taking this industry-leading solution to market.”

“Armor will data keep it safe wherever it resides,” said Mark Woodward, CEO, Armor. “Using Armor, organisations are able to cut their security technology costs and meet compliance mandates at a fraction of the cost of many competing solutions. While we have an established presence in the UK, this is the first time Armor has been made available via distribution in the region.”

Tech Data’s security practice provides focused expertise and support on a comprehensive range of cybersecurity and data protection solutions from leading vendors. Through its Security Practice Builder methodology, it offers active enablement and competency development. Specialist training and certification training is available under the Cyber Range programme, and Tech Data’s RECON Security Services Suite allows security-focused MSPs to address a range of specific cybersecurity challenges and drive recurring revenues.
