  • Further enhancements make scheme even more attractive to Cisco partners looking to grow their knowledge and their business
  • New ACES Awards scheme will see eight partners rewarded for success with a visit to Cisco in San Jose

Basingstoke, 29 January 2018 – Tech Data (Nasdaq: TECD) today announced that its Advanced Solutions portfolio has made important enhancements to its Momentum programme that will help Cisco partners in the UK further accelerate their capabilities and sales. One of the additions will see eight resellers visiting the vendor’s headquarters in San Jose this summer as a reward for being the inaugural winners of the Momentum Awards.

Following the successful integration of its Cisco teams, the UK Advanced Solutions business now has an extensive team of specialists offering account management, pre-sales support and in-depth technical expertise to Cisco partners. One of the most significant additions to the programme is the Momentum ACES Awards. These will be presented to partners that show innovation and a desire to grow – overall and in each of Cisco’s technology focus areas (see below). Winners will be flown to Cisco’s HQ in San Jose this June for exclusive briefings with key Cisco executives.

Tony McNish, Head of Business Development for Tech Data Advanced Solutions UK, said: “The new additions to Momentum will make the programme even more fresh and appealing to Cisco partners who want to grow their business. We have brought together the best of our combined teams and programmes. At all levels of Momentum now, partners have access to account management and the Cisco Refresh scheme, and with the extensive sales and technical resources we now have within Tech Data Advanced Solutions, we can offer even more support for their growth ambitions.”

Partners enrolled on the entry-level Momentum Fundamentals will now have access to account management, Cisco Refresh stocks and the Cisco Hub on the Tech Data Trusted Advisor site.

At the next level, Momentum Boost, resellers now have access to the new Innovation Hub at Basingstoke, which they can use to demonstrate a full working version of Cisco Spark Board, alongside other collaboration platforms. They can also make use of the Cisco Ice Breakers data mining programme to identify opportunities with existing customers.

At the highest level, Momentum ACES, Cisco partners can now discover the complementary skills of other resellers through the ACES Connect alliances scheme. They will also have the privilege of competing for the annual awards.

McNish said resellers that express an interest in joining the Momentum Programme can expect a positive response. “We are always looking for new partners and we’ll be looking to fast-track them to ensure that they gain the maximum benefit in the quickest time and really get the best out of their engagement both with us and with Cisco.”

In December, Tech Data was named Cisco’s UK&I and EMEAR Distributor of the Year for 2017 in recognition of the contribution it made in supporting the continued development of Cisco’s tier 2 partner community.
