  • WALLIX partners have access to expertise of the Tech Data Security Practice

Basingstoke, 30 November 2021Tech Data, a TD SYNNEX (NYSE: SNX) company, has formed a new partnership with WALLIX, (Euronext ALLIX), giving security partners in the UK access to the company’s leading identity and access management solutions.

The agreement is a further significant addition to Tech Data’s cybersecurity portfolio and gives partners access to the vendor’s advanced privileged access management (PAM) and endpoint privileged management (EPM) solutions. The Tech Data security practice team will provide specialist business development and technical support to WALLIX partners and also provide full enablement for new partners.

Alison Nixon, director, security, UK and Ireland at Tech Data, said: “WALLIX is a valuable addition to the Tech Data cybersecurity portfolio. Identity and access management is a rapidly growing segment of the cybersecurity market, and this partnership enables both existing and new WALLIX partners to grasp that opportunity. It gives them access to the expertise that lies within our security practice and all the digital tools and platforms that Tech Data provides to support partners in developing, transforming, and growing their cybersecurity business.”

Commenting on behalf of WALLIX, Kristine Kirchner, vice president channel EMEA at WALLIX, said: “This is a landmark agreement for WALLIX in the UK. It extends our reach in the channel significantly and enables our partners to take advantage of the exceptional services and support offered by Tech Data’s security practice. We look forward to working with the Tech Data team, supporting them in extending the reach of our identity and access management solutions, and helping our mutual partners to grow their business.”

The need to safeguard privileged accounts has been underlined by a number of attacks in recent times, in which, by gaining access to key accounts or users, cybercriminals can gain further access to critical systems and confidential data.

WALLIX’s solutions provide guaranteed detection of and resilience to cyberattacks, protecting IT infrastructures and critical data and ensuring business continuity and compliance. The company was recently recognised as the “Overall Leader” in the KuppingerCole 2021 Leadership Compass report. It was also named as a “Challenger” in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for PAM (Privileged Access Management) solutions. WALLIX’s Bastion PAM solution enables secure privileged access to critical IT infrastructure to reduce the attack surface and meets regulatory and compliance requirements. It adapts to the entire IT environment and responds to specific use cases, providing strong access protection and securing digital identities.
