Maverick puts the focus on LFDs to drive partner sales growth

Basingstoke, 01 November 2016 – Maverick, the audiovisual specialist business of Tech Data, is putting additional focus on driving the growth of its large format display (LFD) sales by setting up a strong specialist team to support partner business development on its extensive range of products from leading vendors.

It has brought the experienced Grant Keenan into the team as Business Manager and Blaine Johnstone as Product Manager. They will work with Mohammad Oftadeh, who steps up to the role of LFD Business Development Manager, to support Maverick internal and external sales teams in driving new programmes and initiatives aimed at growing reseller LFD sales.

Maverick is an authorised distributor for several leading LFD vendors, including Asus, InFocus, LG, Philips, Signagelive, and Sony, and is making this additional investment in response to the needs of its customers said Tony Scully, Managing Director of Maverick UK.

The LFD market is a clear priority for Maverick and with the expanded team in place, is aiming to double its share of the LFD market. It will also be looking to add new vendors to its portfolio, Scully noted.

Grant Keenan has been part of the Maverick team since 2006 and has vast experience in business development for display products. As well as now taking on overall responsibility for LFD business, he will continue to oversee projector and monitor sales. Blaine Johnstone, who has been with the Maverick for more than five years, will also continue to manage projector products. Previously Business Manager for LFD products, in his new role, Mohammad Oftadeh will have additional responsibility for providing sales development, special projects and training.
