BARCELONA (April 22, 2020)Tech Data (Nasdaq: TECD) today announced the launch of the VIP Marketplace initiative for automated license renewal of the Adobe software product range, including Creative Cloud and Acrobat DC through the StreamOne Cloud Marketplace. With this new initiative, customers can now renew existing licenses and add to their current subscriptions through a simplified online account management process that encompasses ordering, provisioning, invoicing and renewals.

This new functionality enables partners to reduce time spent on administering their Adobe software renewals and helps with customer retention by avoiding churn around renewal time. Auto renewal will be available in addition to traditional licensing options and pricing models and product options do not change. This streamlined renewal process is now available to Tech Data partners in UK and Italy and will roll out across the rest of the region in the coming weeks.

Denis Fouquet, vice president, Software and Cloud, Europe, Tech Data, said: “This new automated licensing renewal model is an important new capability for us and our channel partners made possible through the strength of our cloud marketplace, StreamOne. It makes it easier than ever for partners to manage their Adobe solutions, removing the need to engage with multiple systems or processes and freeing up time to focus on driving business growth and extending the services they offer to their customers.”

Claire Darley, vice president, EMEA, Adobe, said: “At Adobe, our goal is to conduct business with our partners in a way that allows for simplification, innovation, and scale. Through VIP Marketplace, we can provide new solutions to our customers and partners, and can, most importantly, offer them a more optimised experience. Tech Data, as a key distributor in Europe, has partnered with Adobe to launch VIP Marketplace; we look forward to accelerating our business in the future.”
