Basingstoke, 15 April 2019 Tech Data (Nasdaq: TECD), has formed a partnership with GCC, a specialist partner in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, to offer other resellers a simple and affordable way to upgrade to the vendor’s cloud-based all-in-one business management solution.

GCC is a London- and Gloucester-based Microsoft Gold Partner and one of the UK’s foremost experts in Dynamics 365 Business Central – the all in-one integrated business management system that has been developed and optimised to deliver more efficient business operations and enhanced customer service for SMBs. The GCC proposition makes it easier and much more affordable for SMBs to migrate to Dynamics 365 Business Central and thus enjoy all the benefits of having a cloud-based all-in-one management and accounting system that is adaptable and scalable to their needs.

GCC will provide the specialist consultancy and expertise necessary for a successful deployment of the system at a fraction of the normal fee – and with pre-defined monthly, per-user payments, businesses will always know what their on-going costs will be. The service will enable more Microsoft resellers to take advantage of opportunities they uncover to migrate SMB customers from legacy accounting and ERP systems, onto the Dynamics 365 Business Central platform.

Chris Harthman, CEO of GCC, stated: “This is a great opportunity for Microsoft Partners to uncover new business potential and thus deliver more value to their customers and grow their own sales and profitability. There is huge potential to migrate small and mid-market customers who have, up to now, been forced to rely on aging accounting systems that have not kept pace with developments in the cloud era.

“With Dynamics 365 Business Central, they can deploy a sophisticated, flexible and scalable ERP system designed for modern businesses and which makes use of modern infrastructure and consumption models – at an affordable cost. That has clear benefits for the end-user customer, and for Microsoft Partners it provides an excellent way to build closer relationships with customers and expands their portfolio without having to make any up-front investment to develop expertise in Dynamics 365 Business Central.”

Nick Stancliffe, Business Development Manager, Modern Workplace Solutions at Tech Data UK, said: “We are now working closely with a scores of partners in the Microsoft CSP community and many of them are seeing good growth in their Microsoft Office 365 business and Azure public cloud sales. They are looking for ways to extend their reach, position themselves as a trusted advisor to their end user customers and protect their existing installed base. Our partnership with GCC enables them to do this by putting forward an attractive proposition on Dynamics 365 Business Central that will deliver positive benefits to the customer business, is quick and simple to deploy and eminently affordable.”

GCC has produced a special book, Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Dummies, under license from Wiley, publishers of the “For Dummies” series of self-help books. It has also created an online pricing calculator tool, which Microsoft partners and their customers can use to make an initial assessment of their requirements and set-up costs. Typically, the cost of deploying Dynamics 365 Business Central using GCC’s implementation model will be up to 50 percent less than that incurred using a completely bespoke approach.

Tech Data is organising a special briefing event for partners interested in learning more about the GCC solution at Microsoft’s Thames Valley Park offices in Reading. Any resellers interested in attending should email Nicholas.Stancliffe@techdata.co.uk.
