Tech Data Cisco team run, walk, and cycle all the way to San Jose to raise money for MIND

Basingstoke, 03 June 2021 – Every year, Tech Data flies the top-performing Cisco partners from its ACES community to San Jose for a special briefing session at the vendor’s HQ. As that was not possible this year, the team came up with a novel way to bring the ACES community together with the Active ACES Challenge. The plan is to raise money for a great cause and asked partners and members of its own team to virtually run, walk and cycle the distance between its own UK HQ in Basingstoke and Cisco’s in San Jose.

The idea is to achieve the distance of 10,252 miles over the current Cisco quarter, ending 31 July, which means the community will need to cover just over 101 miles over 101 days. As well as running, walking, and cycling, they can swim, scoot, skate, or even skateboard to contribute.

All this effort will be in aid of the UK mental health charity, MIND, which needs a funding boost after seeing many events cancelled and having to close 166 of its stores over the past year. Participants in the challenge are being asked to donate to the charity via a JustGiving page – see ActiveACES Team Page fundraising for Mind on JustGiving.
