Tech Data aims to catch consumers’ eyes with Aiptek range of mini projectors

Basingstoke, 05 October 2016 – Tech Data is now distributing the innovative and eye-catching range of mini-projectors from the Taiwanese manufacturer, Aiptek, making it easier for retailers and webstores to offer the company’s outstanding range of Pico devices to their customers.

Aiptek makes a range of innovative and fun projectors designed mainly for mobile consumers. The compact MobileCinema i70 is a Pico projector with embedded WiFi which is designed for use with any kind of mobile device. With a weight of only 132 g and a size of only 85 x 85 x 17 mm it fits in every trouser pocket. It runs on a build-in, rechargeable battery, has an HDMI port and supports Airplay or Miracast. What is unusual for a small projector is that it has a DLP chip and thus delivers the kind of output you might expect from a large cinema projector.

The iBeamBlock is a modular projection system consisting of an HD projector, a 4.5-inch multi-touch Windows 10 tablet and a battery. The components are stacked cordlessly and held together with magnets and Pogo-Pins. Content can be provided from the tablet or from an external source via HDMI, USB, Micro-USB or WiFi. Particularly important for business usage, the compact projector displays Excel, Word, PowerPoint and PDF documents crystal clear, with 400 lumens of brightness and a diagonal image of up to 120 inches.

One step up from this, the P800 is billed by Aiptek as “the first HD 800 lumens projection system with an integrated 360° sound system and a high-performance touch-screen Android tablet powered by Samsung CPU.”  It can be used just as well, at home, on the move or in the office. A unique quad-directional, eight-speaker arrangement (40 watts) with a subwoofer provides plenty of power.

The full range of Aiptek products is now available from Tech Data. Simon Hughes, Category Manager for Accessories at Tech Data, believes they have great potential. “The Aiptek range is truly different and eye-catching. They are compact, look fantastic and offer amazing functionality and image reproduction. Mobile and home cinema is a growing market category with huge potential. Up to now, the Aiptek range has not been widely available in the UK. We think they will be very popular here and thus represent a very good opportunity for retailers and webstores.”

Jonathan Tseng, International Sales Manager for Aiptek International, said: “We see the UK as a strategically important market and the new partnership with Tech Data will be the key to helping us to achieve our aim of making Aiptek recognised as a leading provider of projection solutions in the mobile and home markets. We will be working closely with Tech Data UK to ensure retailers and webstores have access to the products and support they need to develop their sales with Aiptek mini projectors.”
