Basingstoke, 18 May 2020 – Tech Data (Nasdaq: TECD) has been attracting scores of resellers to a series of daily virtual community lunch sessions, organised by the company’s Advanced Solutions team.
The Zoom meetings have been staged by the Enterprise Software and Cloud team to provide a way for technical and sales teams to keep their finger on the pulse of the market and interact with their peers whilst working from home
The informal, daily virtual get-togethers have become a regular part of the schedule for the partner community and have included input from other ecosystem partners and vendors, including VMware, Citrix, Veeam and Lakeside. A different subject is chosen each day and at least one expert will be online for the duration.
Subjects to date have included hyperconverged infrastructure and AI, as well as more business-led briefings on key virtual events and promos along with current offers and promotions. Other specialists from Tech Data, such as the Tech-as-a-Service team, have also participated in the sessions.
The idea was to give partners a way to come together, discuss whatever is on their minds and to look at new ideas and opportunities and what comes next. Customers and partners have responded in a really positive way and Tech Data plans to continue running the sessions daily while there is a need to bring people together.
